The Inside Scoop - A word from the owner

The search for a home for my new undertaking EINHORN BEER COMPANY took quite a while, but I have finally found a spot in San Luis Obispo, the city I fell in love with years ago.  I am a Chicago-born native and lived for almost 2 decades in Germany and worked extensively throughout the country.  But my most inspiring time was spent in two-year program in Munich at Doemens Beverage Academy, one of three schools for brewers in Germany.  My time in Bavaria was exciting and eye-opening.  The Bavarians love their beer and I too discovered this passion in probably the most international, exciting and traditional city in Germany.

I know that you are going to love these recipes.  They are all-grain classical German styles made with the best raw materials I could find.  The Perle & Tettnang hops, the original yeast strains, 100% German malt and a little bit of freedom in thinking all combine to make probably some of the best German style beers available on the Central Coast.   

In the near future, I will complement my selection with other German styles and I plan to import an exciting new style of beer that is currently not available in the US.
